Friends of Richter Park, Inc. (FORe) invites community members to join them for their inaugural breakfast fundraiser to see Danbury local and PGA golfer with five tour wins, Ken Green, receive the Key to the City of Danbury presented by Mayor Mark Boughton.

The event is scheduled for, May 15, 2012, from 7:30AM to 9:00AM at the Matrix Corporate Center, 39 Old Ridgebury Road, Danbury, CT.

Though renowned for its golf course, Richter Park is also home to the Stanley L. Richter Association for the Arts, Musicals at Richter, tennis courts, hiking trails, and fine dining. Established in 2009, FORe was created by the Richter Park Authority for the purpose of raising funds for the implementation of the Richter Park Master Plan and to support activities and programs at Richter Park, located in Danbury.

The Master Plan is a 25-year plan to address enhancements to the park whereby all entities can contribute to the long-term generation of revenue required to deliver a first-class experience to all visitors. Presently, only the golf course generates significant revenue for the operation and maintenance of all the facilities.

FORe is looking for supporters to sponsor a table of ten, attend the breakfast, or donate items to be raffled at the breakfast, which will raise money for the Richter Park Master Plan. With an expectation of over 300 local business leaders and community supporters to attend, this is a great opportunity for businesses and people to gain exposure and to show their support. The Savings Bank of Danbury has agreed to be the major sponsor of this event.

To donate a raffle or auction item or to sponsor a table, please contact Ernie Badillo at ebadillo@goodfellows.com or Leroy Diggs at ldiggs@matrixrealtygrp.com by April 27, 2012.
